Ameristar Casino Kansas City Reopening
Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City will reopen June 1 with new protocols in place to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, according to a company news release.

The casino at 3200 North Ameristar Drive will open its doors at 11 a.m. Monday.
– Ameristar Casino in St. Charles could be opening its doors as early as May 16. Charles county executive was all for getting the county re-open but he wants to hold off on. The COVID-19 pandemic closed all commercial and tribal casino properties in the U.S. This map tracks reopening across the country at the property-level. Missouri Gov. Mike Parson ordered casinos closed on March 17 as COVID-19 began to spread in the state.
As of Wednesday, at least 12,492 people have contracted the virus and 696 have died, according to the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services.
Boyd Gaming, which owns the casino, said employees will be given a supply of masks, dice will be sanitized for each new shoot and dealer equipment will be cleaned regularly. Social distancing practices will be maintained including around the slots and table games.
Visitors are encouraged to wear masks, the company said, which will be available for free.

Henson, senior vice president of operations for Boyd Gaming, said in a statement.
